FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

July 16, 2020

Marco Island, FL – Earlier today, the Re-Elect Jared Grifoni campaign announced that Jared Grifoni became the first candidate to officially qualify for the City Council ballot for the November election. After having significantly exceeded the necessary number of petitions signed by voters across Marco Island, the required amount was verified by the Collier County Supervisor of Elections office. By previously submitting all other documentation to Marco Island City Clerk Laura Litzan, Jared Grifoni met all the criteria for inclusion on the ballot.

“I am emboldened by the continued strong support demonstrated by my fellow Marco Island citizens and their excitement for my re-election campaign. Being the first candidate to qualify for the ballot, and to have been able to collect well over the required number of 127 petitions in just two days, is truly special.” Jared Grifoni said after learning he had qualified.

“I want to thank my team of dedicated volunteers across the island because without them this wouldn’t be possible. In 2016, I was also the first candidate to qualify for the ballot by collecting enough petitions in three days. It was exciting to beat that number by over a full day and to qualify in, what is quite possibly, a record time. This really highlights the growth of support and the enthusiasm behind my campaign's issue-focused and community-oriented message, as well as my service on City Council over the last four years.” Grifoni continued.

In conclusion, Grifoni said, “Our focus between now and November 3 is to reach out to every voter across the island. Thank you for your continued support and for your vote in the November election. I am committed to our community and our shared future.”
